A booking system for barbers: customer site and barber app
Every barber gets their own booking link. Customers pick a service, a day and a time; the barber runs the whole calendar from an Android app and gets a notification when a new booking comes in.
- Customer site + Android app
- No double bookings
- Instant notifications

What was asked
A barber's day keeps getting interrupted by booking calls and WhatsApp messages: put the clippers down, check the phone, find a free slot in the notebook, and make sure two people don't get the same time.
The brief had two parts: one link where customers can book without calling anyone, and an app where the barber can see and run the whole day from one screen.
What I did
The customer side is a website: the shop's name, address and hours; several services can be picked at once with time and price added up automatically, and only truly free slots are shown. Bookings are written on the server in a single step, so if two people tap the same slot at the same moment, only one gets it.
The barber side is an Android app: a daily calendar, tap a free slot to add a booking, block an hour or a day (breaks, time off), cancel bookings, call the customer or message them on WhatsApp in one tap. The barber sets opening hours, slot length, days off, logo and bank details themselves, and gets a notification on their phone when a booking comes in from the web.
A new shop is added with one settings file and one command. Built on Firebase (database, sign-in, server functions, hosting), React and Expo.
